THE SUTCLIFFE REED GUIDE
TO BUYING A HOME We at Sutcliffe Reed understand how important buying a house is to you. We may not have a call centre open 24 hours a day, but we can assure you that our highly experienced team will provide you with a high quality personal service and if you need to telephone us, you will be speaking to the person who is actually dealing with the matter on your behalf. For first time buyers, the purchase of a house can often be a daunting experience, but even if you have bought a house before, we hope that the following guide will help explain to you some of the steps and stages that we need to go through on your behalf before you can move into your new home. CONTACT US: If you have been dealing with an Estate Agent in the purchase of your home, simply give them our details and they should forward to us everything that we need to know. We will then contact you and advise you accordingly. If you want to speak to us first, please do not hesitate to call into the office, phone us, fax us or E-mail us. DO YOU NEED A MORTGAGE? There are thousands of different mortgage products on the market now, but whatever type of mortgage you choose, you are still borrowing money which will be secured upon the property you are buying. Your lender will need our details because we will also be acting for them in order to check that the property is a good security for the money they are providing you with. As we are Solicitors and not a Bank, we do not want to try and sell you a mortgage and would simply suggest that the best advice will come from an independent Financial Advisor.
